pictures of land rover discovery

Today's electric muscle cars are a great way for you to feel the thrill of a classic car but without the emissions or the gas-guzzling engine. We took a closer look at the Dodge Charger sedan and Challenger coupe as well as the EQE AMG electric sedan. We also learned more about the Xing transmission adapter. We hope this will interest you as well. Continue reading to find out more.

Dodge Charger sedan

In just two years, an electric Dodge Charger sedan may be possible. The STLA Large chassis will be used to support internal-combustion and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The new Charger could be a recognizable name, but its electric prowess is still a mystery. What is it about the new Charger that makes it stand apart from others?

Dodge Challenger coupe

Dodge's future battery-electric muscle car may not be just a concept. The brand is famous for its V8 engines. However, with electric power available, it can now offer a fully-electric vehicle to customers. This is a big deal for EV drivers, as electric muscle cars do not require rear-wheel drives, noisy exhausts, or gas-guzzling performance. While the majority of the presentation was focused on electric cars, one teaser seemed to offer a glimpse into what's next. Its battery-electric muscle car did a burnout in a typical on-brand display.

EQE electric sedan

The EQE is not your average electric car when it comes to power. A dual-motor motor setup gives the AMG EQE 617 hp. The range is 469 miles. It will produce 677 hp with the AMG Dynamic Plus package and 738lb-ft torque. The EQE will achieve speeds of 149 mph, being an electric sedan.

Xing transmission adapter

Xing successfully transformed a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro from a fully-electric car. The entire system, including the battery and transmission, can be fitted to any GM LS-series transmission. This single motor is capable of producing 320 horsepower. It could be a proof of concept in electric muscle cars. Xing will likely unveil its fully electric muscle car during the November SEMA Show.

Maserati GranTurismo

The Maserati GranTurismo will become the first electric car. The new electric vehicle will be built at Maserati's Mirafiori production facility. It will include cutting-edge Formula E technology, lightweight multimaterial architecture and an electric drive. Maserati's premium line of sports cars, the Maserati electric Maserati, will benefit greatly from the new electric Maserati.

Dodge's electric muscle car

Since its inception, the Dodge Charger has been a formidable competitor in the muscle car segment, competing with the best. Dodge's place in this segment has only grown since the 1970 introduction of the Challenger. These cars are coveted for their powerful V8 engines and power. So, when Dodge announced that they would electrify the muscle cars, fans had mixed reactions. However, the Dodge team saw a way to improve the current models of muscle cars after they looked at the concept car.

How To

How to become an Automotive Technician

An automotive technician provides repair services and maintenance to vehicles. He/she can be found at auto shops, garages and service centers. Customers can rely on him/her to fix their cars, trucks and motorcycles. An automotive technician must be able to diagnose problems and make repairs quickly, safely, accurately, and efficiently.

A person who wants to work as an automotive technician should first obtain an associate degree from a vocational school. After completing this program the student must pass the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence exam (ASE). ASE stands for American Society of Mechanical Engineers. There are two sections to the ASE certification test. The first section tests the ability to use mechanical knowledge. The second section tests the ability to apply practical skills. To take the test, you must visit one of the approved testing locations. These locations can be found online, or by contacting your local car dealer.

Before becoming an automotive technician, a candidate must pass the test. This process can vary depending on where the applicant lives. Some states require applicants to take a training course while others allow them the freedom to study on their own. Some states allow technicians to become licensed right away after receiving their license. While others wait until they have had at least six years of experience as an automotive technician.

Apply to your local dealership to become an automotive technician. New employees are usually apprentices when they first get hired. Apprenticeships typically last three years. Students learn basic repair skills such as changing oil and adjusting brakes, changing tires, cleaning spark plugs and inspecting engine compartments. Some students learn how to do advanced repairs, such as installing air filters, replacing shocks, repairing engines, and replacing transmission fluids. Classes are offered by most schools during regular business hours. Some schools also offer evening classes, if necessary.

Once a student finishes his/her apprenticeship, it is possible to become a Journeyman. Journeymen generally spend four- to five decades learning how to fix major systems like transmissions. You will also learn how to repair complicated electrical components, as well as how to remanufacture engines and rebuild transmissions. Many employers prefer to hire Journeymen because they understand the job well.

If a candidate successfully passes the required exams and receives a license, he/she might want to consider starting his/her own shop. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2010, nearly 1.7 Million automotive mechanic jobs were available. This number is expected to increase by 18% between 2009 and 2020. When a candidate plans to open his/her own shop he/she should be ready to invest thousands of dollars in equipment.

Automotive technicians' salaries depend on many factors such as the employer, whereabouts, education level and experience. An average salary for a jobless individual is $20,000 per annum. Someone who has only a highschool diploma could earn around 21,000 dollars per year. Earnings for those with an associate's diploma are approximately $24,000/year. Technicians with bachelor's degrees earned about $27,000 per year. A master's degree earns around $32,000 per a year. Salaries are increasing so that a professional earning less than $30,000 could expect to make $40,000 in a few years.
